The snow-fighting teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science Affairs and the Rural Services Department will complete all their preparations and will work against possible snowfall at 16 points, including the center and 7 districts.
TEAM OF 200 PEOPLE AT THE CENTER READY 24 HOURS
Metropolitan Municipality Science Affairs Department teams took the necessary measures against the negativities that may be experienced within the scope of combating winter conditions on the 550-kilometer road network in the city center. The team, which is ready to fight the snow 7 hours a day, 24 days a week, is ready for instant intervention during the precipitation in the salt depots located in 4 different locations.
A total of 96 heavy equipment and 200 personnel were assigned by the Department of Science and Technology within the scope of combating winter conditions in the center. All necessary measures have been taken by the Metropolitan Municipality in order to ensure that the citizens are least affected by snowfall and icing events and to ensure the normal continuation of daily life. In this context, 60 snow plows and salt spreaders, 8 graders, 7 loader buckets, 10 backhoe and loader buckets (JSB), 1 rotary and 10 dump trucks will serve in the city center.
RURAL SERVICES, READY TO FIGHT SNOW
The Rural Services Department's snow-fighting teams, on the other hand, are ready to fight snow on the neighborhood roads of 16 districts, on the basis of working 7 hours a day at 24 points. During the winter, the teams will do snow-fighting work in rural neighborhoods with a total of 128 personnel and 60 vehicles on 3 kilometers of road network.
