Manufacturers operating in the yarn industry, which is the most important raw material of the textile industry, will come together for the 16th time at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center on February 18-19.

For the fair that will last until February 18, European countries, England, America, Brazil, Algeria, China, Indonesia, Ghana, South Korea, Iran, Israel, Japan, Canada, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Egypt, Russia, Vietnam. Visitors from all over the world are expected. The Fair, which is the meeting place of the giants of the yarn industry and domestic manufacturers, plays a key role in increasing exports. Fair participants can get support from both the Ministry of Commerce and KOSGEB.

New halls were added to the 19th International Istanbul Yarn Fair this year upon the demand for intense participation from sector companies. Thus, a 7% growth was achieved in the m40.000 of the fair, which will take place in 2 halls on an area of ​​2 m57. The online ticket demands of the fair, which was followed with great interest by the professionals of the sector, increased by 25 percent compared to the previous year.

Turkey's textile and raw materials exports in 2022 were 2,7 million tons. While exports of textiles and raw materials were made mostly to 2022 EU countries in 27, Italy ranked first among them, followed by Germany. In the same year, the second country group with the highest export volume was African countries. Among the first 15 countries with the highest number of visits to the Istanbul Yarn Fair, which will take place this year, these are the countries with the highest exports.

Yarns from synthetic-artificial filament fibers, cotton yarns, yarns from synthetic-artificial staple fibers, yarns from wool and fine-coarse animal hair, vegetable fiber yarns, silk yarn, as well as a wide variety of yarn types, which are among the most exported yarn types in the yarn industry, will be exhibited at the fair. will be exhibited.

In the fair, which focuses on the cyclical economy, one of the current topics of the last period, the recycled yarns to be installed in the foyer will meet the visitors in the special exhibition area with the adventure of the yarn from waste to the final product. Fair visitors will have the opportunity to see the story of a plastic bottle as a sweater, step by step. In addition to the area where sample products of participating companies producing recycled yarn will be exhibited, visitors will meet with exhibitors at their stands for more detailed product information.

The fair, where environmentally friendly, high-performance and high-quality products will be exhibited, is the most important commercial meeting of the international yarn industry. Last year's participants stated that their orders increased by 81% at the fair, while 32% of the visitors stated that they made purchases during the fair. For the fair, which hosted 10.282 industry professionals last year, a Procurement Delegation Program was created under the coordination of İTKİB with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, with intensive promotional activities to increase the country diversity and the number of visitors this year.
