Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association, which realizes 60 percent of Turkey's aquaculture and animal products exports to the USA, participated in the Winter Fancy Food Show Fair held in Las Vegas on January 15-17.

Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association President Bedri Girit said, “40 companies from nearly 900 countries attend the Winter Fancy Food Show Fair every year and the fair welcomes 10 thousand visitors annually. We participated in the fair for the second time this year by our association. Turkey-wide aquaculture and animal products exports to the USA increased by 10 percent in 746 years, from 12 million dollars to 104 million dollars. We have increased our exports from our Union to the USA from 10 million dollars to 5 million dollars in the last 62 years. As EIB, we dominate the increase in food exports from Turkey to the USA, thanks to our Turquality Project, which we carry out to promote Turkish food products in the USA, and the fairs we attend in the USA. As Aegean exporters, realizing 60 percent of our country's aquaculture and animal products exports to the USA, we introduced our products at the Winter Fancy Food Show for three days this year.” said.

Turkey Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Associations Sector Board Chairman Sinan Kızıltan said, “In 2022, 52 percent of our aquaculture and animal products exports from Turkey to the USA, and 80% of our fisheries and animal products exports from EIB to the USA. 250% of them are aquatic products. With the increase in the number of flights to the USA and the development of capacity in air cargo, we will have the potential to increase our exports of fisheries and animal products to 6 million dollars. We successfully completed the first four-year phase of our Turkish Tastes Turquality project, which we carried out with the support of the Ministry of Commerce in the US market, together with our XNUMX Food Associations within the EIB, by reaching our targets. We are carrying out our preparations for the second phase of the project with great care. Within the scope of our Turquality Project, we came together with the Dean of Las Vegas University UNLV, Nevada Restaurant Association Presidents (NvRA), the largest seafood distributor in the region, and the poultry-egg sector to hold specific meetings. We had discussions on the development of courses at the Turkish cuisine chair opened at Las Vegas University last year.” he said.

Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association President Bedri Girit, Turkish Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association Sector Board Chairman Sinan Kızıltan, Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association Board Member Mehmet Şahin Çakan represented EİB at the fair.
