Gun Tower Delivery from FNSS to the Philippines

FNSS production Saber gun turrets were integrated into Philippine Army's ACV-15 Armored Personnel Carriers (ZPT). On January 25, 2023, a ceremony was held with the participation of the Generals and the vehicles were introduced. The Philippines is modernizing its military under the RAFPMP program.

Within the scope of modernization, vehicles were equipped with modern communication, navigation and weapon systems in addition to gun turrets. In this way, these vehicles will provide close and immediate indirect fire support for maneuvering units on the battlefield.

FNSS was to export stabilized manned gun turrets to the Philippine Army

Under the contract signed between FNSS and the Ministry of Defense of the Philippines and officially entered into force in August 2020, FNSS would provide stabilized manned gun turret production, integration and logistics support services to the Philippine Army. It was planned that the towers would be installed on the vehicles in October 2021 and that training and logistics support services would be completed by December 2021.

Within the scope of the Philippine Army's modernization program, manned turrets previously produced and sold for different countries would be produced using state-of-the-art vision (day/night) and fire control systems, in line with this program aimed at increasing and improving the firepower of existing tracked armored vehicles.

The towers, which will be produced at FNSS facilities, would later be integrated into tracked armored vehicles by FNSS in the Philippines and delivered to the user. Training activities for the towers, of which a part of the acceptance tests will be carried out in Turkey and the other part in the Philippines, would be carried out in the Philippines as part of integrated logistics support services.

Single-man manned towers have become the choice of the Philippine Army, by achieving success against the products of the world's leading companies with their cost-effectiveness and superior technical features. FNSS continues to be the only company in the Turkish defense sector to export one-man stabilized towers to the inventory of friendly and allied forces. The project will be executed within the scope of the Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement between the governments of Turkey and the Philippines.
