Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, stated that they carry out training and awareness activities throughout the country in order to convey the responsibilities of being a family and establishing a home to young people of marriageable age, and said, "Since 2013, 1.5 million of our citizens have participated in our Pre-Marriage Education Program, which is given by our expert trainers."

Emphasizing that the family is the safest place for a child, Minister Derya Yanık said that in order for this area to be built on solid foundations, parents should learn to be good wives before becoming parents.

Minister Yanık pointed out that the aim of the Pre-Marriage Education Program they started in 2013 is to contribute to the establishment of long-lasting and healthy marriages for young people, and said, “With our Pre-Marriage Education Program, our young people will be able to see marriage and family life as a whole and acquire the basic skills necessary to communicate with each other correctly. We provide,” he said.

Noting that the trainings are given by trainers who are experts in their fields, Minister Yanık said, “Every young person who has reached the age of marriage and aims to establish a family can benefit from the Pre-Marriage Education Program. “Since 2013, 1.5 million citizens have participated in our program.” Minister Derya Yanık said that training of trainers will also be increased in order to popularize the Pre-Marriage Education Program.

Karabuk is the first, Amasya is the second, Isparta is the third.

While trainings are carried out in cooperation with stakeholder institutions and organizations in order to expand Pre-Marriage Education throughout the country; Trainer training was also given to senior personnel in the Gendarmerie General Command and psychologists and psychological counselors working in the General Staff. Karabük ranks first, Amasya ranks second, and Isparta ranks third in terms of population in the trainings given within the scope of the program.

Pre-Marriage Education Program Consists of 4 Books

The Pre-Marriage Education Program consists of a total of 4 books, one of which is the "Trainer's Handbook", "Communication and Life Skills in Marriage", "Family Law", "Marriage and Health".
