Yıldırım Municipality will both add value to the economy and meet the electricity needs of the district with the Yıldırım Logistics Center, which it will add to an area of 160 decares in Samanlı Mahallesi.

Yıldırım Municipality is transforming the 160-decare area in Samanlı Mahallesi into a logistics base where the warehouses of giant e-commerce brands will be located. Yıldırım Logistics Center, which will make significant contributions to Yıldırım and the city's economy, has 95 independent areas. In addition, with the solar power plant to be installed on the roof of the center, the electricity needs of the streets and municipal facilities in the district will be met, saving 15-20 million liras per year. The facility, of which 50 percent of the construction works have been completed, will be put into service in 2023.

BOTH EMPLOYMENT AND SAVINGS

Stating that logistics bases have gained importance with the spread of e-commerce and exports, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz said, “As Yıldırım Municipality, we are bringing Yıldırım Logistics Center, which will provide added value to our district. Our facility, which we have planned as nature-friendly, will not create wastes that will pollute the environment and will be an important green energy source for our district. Not only will our facility meet its own energy needs, it will also illuminate the streets of Yıldırım and produce electrical energy to be used in municipal facilities. We will bring our project, of which 50 percent of the construction works have been completed, to Yıldırım in 2023”.
