Karaismailoğlu said, “All of the metro investments, which serve 270 kilometers in Istanbul today, were made and put into service before 2019. Our concern is the service, but we see that unfortunately, the services that were left are still in place.”

Our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Dr. He attended the Kadir Topbaş Youth and Sports Center Opening Ceremony. Making statements at the ceremony, Karaismailoğlu noted that municipality is a sacred service. Karaismailoğlu, who stated that municipality has a long history, said that Turkey's "what is municipality, what kind of service it is, to serve its homeland and nation 7/24," after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan became the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor on March 27, 1994. He stressed that he learned.

“We learned a lot under the leadership of our President. Istanbul is a school,” said Karaismailoğlu, “Our President opened the doors of Istanbul and Ankara to the children of Anatolia. Anatolian children, who love their homeland and nation, entered through those doors, and they now serve Turkey with the education they received here and the vision they gained.”

DAILY MOBILITY IN ISTANBUL APPROACHES 30 MILLION

Reminding that he started his business life in Istanbul Gaziosmanpaşa, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that he knows the old state of this region and Istanbul very well. Reminding that there was a garbage explosion in Istanbul before 1994, Karaismailoğlu stated that there was no service before 1994.

Karaismailoğlu emphasized that many services were provided to Istanbul from 1994 to 2019 in the next period and stated that the developing and growing Istanbul wanted service and investment. Underlining that especially public transportation is an indispensable part of life, Karaismailoğlu said that daily mobility in Istanbul is approaching 30 million.

Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “That's why we made big plans for Istanbul together with those who came to serve in Istanbul in 1994 and our colleagues who gained this vision. If you are going to do a public service anyway, you have to determine the problems that your nation and your citizens will face in the coming years, take measures and make investments. All of the metro investments, which serve 270 kilometers across Istanbul today, were made and put into service before 2019. Our problem is the service, but we see that unfortunately the services that were left remain in place as they are. They will open the Bostancı-Dudullu metro line today. We handed over this place in 2019 with a progress rate of 70 percent, four years have passed, they are finishing a line that should have been completed long ago today. We thank him, too, but when we look at the ongoing investments, unfortunately, these will last for decades if it continues at this rate.”

WE WILL OPEN THE BAŞAKŞEHİR-KAYAŞEHİR SUBWAY IN FEBRUARY

Karaismailoğlu stated that the primary duty of local governments is to create a high-quality, safe and economical public transportation system for the city, and underlined that they are working with this vision. Karaismailoğlu, who noted that the local administrations did what they did not do as the Ministry, gave the example of Çam and Sakura City Hospital.

Referring to the projects taken over by the Ministry, Karaismailoğlu continued his statement as follows:

“In the Kovid-19 epidemic process, where hospitals are needed most, unfortunately, when we saw a management that did not make the hospital road, which was started by the municipality, we took over directly, we built the hospital roads within 1 month. Unfortunately, a mentality that prefers not to make a way to the hospital lives in Istanbul right now. Those who did not make their way did not build the metro, we took it over and we are finishing it now. Hopefully, as of February, we will put the Başakşehir-Kayaşehir metro into service. We will have the easiest access to one of the most modern hospitals in the world. When we took over that subway, there was a 5 percent progress rate, today we have reached 99 percent. Again parallel to this line, when we took over this line, the Mahmutbey-Esenyurt metro was at 5 percent. It is south of Bağcılar-Kirazlı. HalkalıThe metro line to ' was also at 5 percent progress. It's been 4 years and we regret to see that it is still at the level of 5 percent. Investments are in the middle. They do, they don't. They have no intention of making up their minds either. But those who do these will come here and finish them quickly, no one should doubt that.”

ALL OVER OUR COUNTRY HAS BEEN A GREAT BREAKTHROUGH FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS

Stating that they are working to serve, to increase the quality of life of the nation and to make life easier, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “There has been a great breakthrough in the last 20 years all over our country, and this continues to increase. AK Party governments have a goal. Under the leadership of our President, we want to be among the 10 largest developed economies in the world. We are working hard to create that infrastructure," he said.

Pointing out that while the whole world is struggling with crises, investments in Turkey continue to increase, Karaismailoğlu stated that they spent all their budgets for the country, for the nation, and they will continue to do so.

Providing information about the metro works in Istanbul, Karaismailoğlu said, “We will inaugurate our 32-kilometer metro line, which starts from Kağıthane and stretches from Hasdal, Kemerburgaz Göktürk to Istanbul Airport, this month. We are excited to present it to the service of Istanbulites under the leadership of our President. We will open the Başakşehir, Kayaşehir metro again in February. Then, I hope, we will both provide public transportation movement between Kazlıçeşme and Sirkeci in an important historical region in Suriçi, and we will experience the pride of completing a valuable work with walking and cycling paths. Hopefully, we will offer our ongoing metro lines to the service of Istanbulites in 2023.” used the phrases.
