İzmir Metropolitan Municipality organized the third of the Thematic Women's Forums with the theme of "Art and Women". Speaking at the forum, Izmir City Council President Nilay Kökkılınç said, "Women are not only inspiring but also creating, constructing and constructing."
Continuing its work with the vision of a women-friendly city, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organized the third thematic Women's Forums in 30 districts of the city with the theme of "Art and Women". Karşıyaka Zübeyde Hanım held it at the Wedding Palace. Nilay Kökkılınç, the Chairman of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Gender Equality Commission and the President of the Izmir City Council, Karşıyaka Deputy Mayor Berkhan Alptekin, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department Head Anıl Kaçar, bureaucrats, council members, headmen, representatives of non-governmental organizations and citizens attended.

Izmir City Council and Karşıyaka Speaking at the forum organized in cooperation with the Municipality, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Gender Equality Commission Chairman and İzmir City Council President Nilay Kökkılınç said, “As in all fields, women have shown that they exist in art as well, by multiplying with the strength that different disciplines give each other through solidarity. The moderator of the forum was Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Fine Arts Drama and Acting Department Lecturer Dr. Sündüz Hashar did it. In the forum, the inequality experienced by women in all areas of their lives due to their gender roles and the effects of many visible and invisible obstacles they encounter in the male-dominated working life in the art world were discussed. Director, actress, and Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Fine Arts Drama and Acting Department Lecturer Ayşe Lebriz Berkem, Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory Music Department Piano Department Instructor in the forum where issues such as inequality of opportunity in art and on stage, violence against women in the media, and inequality of wages in art are discussed. Member Demet Eytemiz and İzmir Short Film Festival Coordinator and İzmir Foundation Cinema Coordinator Gülen Saygı attended as speakers.
The first of the thematic Women's Forums, which were planned by considering the basic characteristics of the districts, was held in Bornova Dramalılar Mansion, with the theme of “Women's Rights” and the second with the theme of “Under the Lens: Violence Against Women”.
