In his statement, Özer said that in the next three months, all village schools with more than 10 households will be opened and offered to the service of citizens.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer attended the Sultandere Village Life Center and Gastronomy Workshop Opening and Family Education Certificate Distribution Ceremony within the scope of his Eskişehir visit. Speaking here, Minister Özer said that education investments in Eskişehir are at a very good point at all levels, from pre-school to higher education. said. Emphasizing that they have increased the budget to 459 billion 760 million liras by adding 1 million liras to the investment amount of 219 million liras for Eskişehir; He wished these educational investments to be beneficial for children, teachers, mothers and fathers.

“The number of classrooms increased from 300 thousand to 900 thousand in nineteen years, and the number of teachers increased from 500 thousand to 1.2 million in twenty years”

Pointing out that the last two decades have corresponded to a period in which education was used most efficiently to increase the quality of Turkey's human capital and human resources, Özer said, “Although the developed countries with which we compete today, their schooling rates have reached 95 percent after the Second World War, Turkey has 2000 When he came to the 's, his report card in education was not very good. In the 2000s, the enrollment rates at the age of 5 were 11 percent, and the enrollment rates in secondary education were around 44 percent. In other words, half of the high school age population was out of education in the 2000s.” he said.

Özer continued as follows: “Well, if the most permanent capital of a country is the human resource, the backbone of its competitiveness, why has this delay occurred in Turkey for seventy years? The last twenty years correspond to a period when all the deficiencies of the first century of the republic were eliminated. For this, huge investments were made in 81 provinces and all districts, regardless of any region. Schools and classrooms were built. Imagine, in an education system, the number of classrooms increases from 300 thousand to 900 thousand in nineteen years. The number of teachers increases from 500 thousand to 1.2 million in twenty years. It just wasn't done. Very serious social policies have been put into action in education so that the people we call 'weird gureba', whose socioeconomic level is disadvantaged, can access education. Conditional education assistance, especially for girls' access to education, such as scholarships, hostels, free bussed education, free textbooks, free resources. The equivalent of these social policies in the last nineteen years is 2022 billion liras in 525.

Noting that two winners emerged with the social policies implemented, Özer noted that the first winner was the strange group of people and the second was the girls. Özer said, “For the first time in the first century of the Republic, the schooling problem of girls in education was solved in the last twenty years. In the 2000s, we said that the schooling rate in secondary education was 44 percent. The enrollment rate of girls in secondary education was 39.2 percent. Today, the schooling rate of girls in secondary education is 95.06 percent. In other words, for the first time, this corresponds to a period in which everyone can access education without discrimination.” made its assessment.

At the same time, Özer stated that anti-democratic practices such as headscarf bans and coefficient practices in education were lifted in this process, and said, “This geography is a Muslim geography. This geography is the heartland of Abu'l Hasan Harakani, Mevlana, Sadreddin Konevi, Hacı Bektaş Veli, Hacı Bayram Veli, Yunus Emre and Nasreddin Hodja. For the first time, the children of this geography were given the opportunity to learn their religion, learn the Quran, and learn about the life of the Prophet, for those who went to schools other than imam hatip.” said.

“For the first time in the history of the Republic, the enrollment rate in all education levels, from pre-school to secondary education, has reached 99 percent.” we will say.

He said that they are trying to increase the 99 to 2023 percent. Özer said, “We reach out to all of our students in the unregistered population and to all of our young people who should be students one by one. Hopefully, by the end of March 99, we will increase the schooling rate in secondary education to 99 percent and we will say, 'For the first time in the history of the Republic, the schooling rate in all education levels, from pre-school to secondary education, has increased to XNUMX percent.' I would like to take this opportunity to thank our President very much for allocating the largest share of the budget to education every year and for his determined stance in removing anti-democratic practices.” made the statement.

Expressing that he is very happy to have achieved or even exceeded all the targets they have set for 2022, Minister Özer underlined that among the projects they initiated in 2022, one of the most meaningful ones for him is the village life centers.

Explaining that people have started to return from metropolises to cities, from cities to districts, and from districts to villages, especially after the Kovid-19 epidemic, Özer also reminded that agriculture and animal husbandry have turned into a critical area due to the problems experienced in the food supply chain. Taking these two trends into account, he said that they started working to put the idle village schools back into the service of the people living in the region as an education unit. Underlining that village life centers serve as kindergartens, primary schools and public education centers, Minister Özer said, “For the first time, adults and their grandchildren and children came together under the same education roof. That's why we called these places 'village life centers'. So far, we have put into service 4 village life centers in the last 2 months, and we opened it in the Kulliye with the presence of our President.” he said.

Schools in all villages with more than 10 households will be opened within three months.
