Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık announced that they started to deposit a total of 1 billion 847 million TL Home Care Assistance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to severely disabled citizens and their families in need of care.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, Minister Derya Yanık reminded that with the Home Care Assistance, which was initiated in 2006 with the idea of supporting disabled individuals with their families, citizens with severely disabled relatives who need care and who cannot work because they take care of them are supported.
Noting that an average of 560 thousand citizens who take care of their disabled relatives in need of care benefit from "Home Care Assistance" per month, Minister Yanık reminded that a monthly payment of 3.336 TL per beneficiary is made in this context.
Minister Yanık said, “We started to deposit a total of 1 billion 847 million TL Home Care Assistance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to severely disabled citizens and their families in need of care. In 2022, we made a total of 18 billion TL Home Care Assistance payments. I wish good luck to all our disabled citizens. As the Ministry, we will continue to develop policies with a rights-based perspective so that people with disabilities can fully reach their basic rights such as education, health, security and employment.” used his statements.
On the other hand, with the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient for January, Home Care Assistance payments will be deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries in an incremental manner in February.
