Two New Stations to BursaRay's Kestel Uludağ University Line

In addition to the Emek-YHT Station-Şehir Hospital Metro Line Project, which is under construction in Bursa, a 3,5-kilometer-long, two-station University-Görükle section on the Kestel-Uludağ University line has been included.

In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was reported that the works on the Emek-YHT Station-City Hospital Metro Line are continuing.

In the statement, it was stated that the existing Emek- Arabayatagi metro line will reach the YHT Station and City Hospital by crossing Mudanya Boulevard with the 4,9 kilometer long and 4-station line to be built by the Ministry.

In the statement, 4 percent of the pile works have been completed in the subway project, which is planned to have 60 more stations in the north, and 33 percent of the physical realization of excavation and filling works has been announced.

In the statement, it was stated that it was decided to extend the existing Kestel-Uludağ University line within the scope of the project, and the following information was given:

“The University-Görükle extension with a 3,5 kilometer line length and two stations has been included in the scope of our Emek-YHT Station-City Hospital project. The construction activities in this section will start tomorrow with the groundbreaking ceremony with the presence of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.”

It was stated that with this addition, the number of stations brought to Bursa's rail systems will reach 6 with the projects carried out by the Ministry, and access to the warehouse area will also be provided.

It was emphasized that in the warehouse area, the maintenance-repair and parking needs of the entire subway vehicle fleet of the city will be served, and 93 train sets (500 cars) can be parked in the warehouse area established on an area of ​​12 thousand 4 square meters, while the maintenance and repair of 6 train sets can be made at the same time.

In the statement, it was stated that with the completion of the 4,9 kilometers Emek-YHT Station-Şehir Hospital Metro Line and the 3,5 kilometers University-Görükle Metro Line, 8,4 kilometers of metro lines and 6 new stations will be added to the rail system network of Bursa.
