In 2022, 355 thousand companies registered valid invention patents in China.
Hu Wenhui, Deputy Director of the National Patent and Copyright Administration of China, gave information about the patents obtained by China in 2022 in a press conference held today.
Hu reminded that by the end of last year, Chinese companies had obtained 4 million 212 thousand valid invention patents and the number of patents per capita in the country reached 9.4.
Stating that the number of companies obtaining patents valid until the end of 2022 in China has increased to 355, Hu said that significant progress has been made especially in the creation of innovation in digital technology, SMEs benefiting from these patents, and foreign companies gaining patents and copyrights in China.
