Historical Abdurrahman Gazi Tomb Has Been Restored and Restored

The Metropolitan Municipality completed the restoration of the “Abdurrahman Gazi Tomb” in the Bünyan district by signing another benevolent-municipal cooperation.

Making a statement about the restoration work, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We designed the Abdurrahman Gazi Tomb, one of the important works of our cultural heritage, located in the Samağır District of the Bünyan district of our ancient city Kayseri, which has historical richness in all four corners, with an understanding that protects the historical and cultural values ​​of the city. We restored it with charitable cooperation and brought it back on its feet. As Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, we started the restoration works for the restoration of the tomb, whose project studies were completed in 2022, and we completed the restoration works at the end of the year.”

Büyükkılıç also gave information about the mausoleum structure and said, “The architectural structure of the mausoleum, which rises in two levels up to the dome, ends with the dome, which is the upper cover of the structure that transitions from a nearly square scheme in the first level to an octagon in the second level.
