The Metropolitan Municipality, which received the title of 'Bicycle Friendly City' by the International Cycling Union in 2021 and announced the name of Sakarya in the world, continues to do justice to this title. Bicycle lanes are digital
The 'Sakarya Bicycle Routes Map' was prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality in Sakarya, which is titled as a Bicycle Friendly City. Routes were determined on this map, and routes including the city center, plateaus and plains were processed into the digital application. In practice, the route of 49 kilometers, consisting of 2 mountain and city tracks, was opened to the use of bicycle and nature enthusiasts.
Bicycle maintenance, repair
The newly established Bicycle Paths Construction, Maintenance, Repair and Operations Directorate within the Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department has developed cleaning programs for safe bicycle rides by cleaning and maintaining the bicycle paths. In this context, teams make maintenance, repairs and washings of existing bicycle paths and prepare them for use for bicycle users. Thus, the integration of existing bicycle paths with the new bicycle paths is ensured.
A first in Turkey: Bike Fest
Hosting national and international organizations, the Metropolitan Municipality organized the 'BIKE FEST' for the first time in 2022 under the auspices of the Presidency. World races started at the festival, which was followed with interest by the whole world. While Sakarya MTB Cup started first, the pedals returned for the championship at the MTB Eliminator World Cup, the world's most exciting mountain bike organization broadcast live from 110 different countries.

By making feverish preparations for the Tour Of Sakarya, the most followed international road bike race in the world, where cities are at the forefront, Adapazarı Atatürk Boulevard, Çark Street, Ankara Street and Yeni Cami regions were prepared for the breathtaking race. Tour Of Sakarya, the race followed with interest in the world, started and a total of 30 athletes from 13 different teams from more than 80 countries pedaled for the podium.
