Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank visited an industrialist who reached him with a social media message. ENELSAN General Manager Gökgöl informed Minister Varank about their activities. During his visit, Minister Varank was accompanied by Ahmet Tokkan, Chairman of Kocaeli Gebze IMES OSB.
Introducing the hydrostatic pressure transmitter they produce, General Manager Gökgöl said, “One meter of water column equals approximately 100 millibars. When you immerse this device into the well, it can reach up to 300-500 meters. It can measure the level of underground water. We are the first company to produce this in Turkey. We also have a model that measures the salinity of water.” said.
Stating that the products they manufacture have a market of over 30 billion dollars, Gökgöl said, “Currently, the annual turnover of our closest competitor is 1 billion dollars. We have a lot of chances to get a share of that.” he said.
Gökgöl promised to become a Turcorn to Minister Varank and said, “From January 20, 2023, until January 20, 2028, this company will reach a billion-dollar company valuation point.” used the phrases. Gökgöl said that they have realized 7 projects with TÜBİTAK Technology and Innovation Support Programs Presidency (TEYDEB) and that they are carrying out 3 different projects together with TEYDEB, and that they also benefited from the investment incentives of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Gökgöl also informed that they manufacture devices such as water level measuring devices, hydrostatic pressure transmitter that measures the level of underground water, turbine type water meters, oil meters and electromagnetic hydrometers that measure the pressure in water lines.
“It produces both mechanics and electronics”
Saying that we came to the workplace of a friend who invited me on social media, Minister Varank said, "I came without knowing. Here I learn that 7 TUBITAK TEYDEB projects have been completed so far. 3 are still ongoing. We are visiting a friend who was established from scratch, who makes measuring devices, but who makes not only the mechanical part of the measuring devices, but also the electronic and value-added parts of the measuring devices.

Minister Varank said, of course, that we, as the ministry, are trying to contribute to our companies with whatever support we have, and said, "He just made his claim. “2023 years after 5, this company will reach a billion dollar valuation,” he says. Because the devices it produces are the devices that can give the best price in terms of both quality and price competition. We always say that value-added production is important to us and we strive to develop Turkey with value-added production. Companies like ENELSAN are also good examples. Speaking about BAYKAR on the agenda, Minister Varank continued his words as follows:
“There are discussions on the agenda from time to time. The leader of a party recently used very ugly statements about BAYKAR. 'We will touch BAYKAR. All the possibilities of the state are transferred to this company.' said. They have no original or lining. Look, I came to this company with an invitation from social media. It has completed 7 TEYDEB projects, 3 of them are still in progress. I have no idea. We do not support companies based on their political views. Companies apply to us with their projects. Independent evaluators evaluate these projects and give their support accordingly. There is a good example here, which has benefited from our support, but BAYKAR has not received any support from us. It is a company that has done all its R&D studies with its own resources. That's why we don't look at our country with such political gossip. Our agenda is clear: investment, production, employment, exports.”
“TÜRKAK accredited”
ENELSAN Industrial Electronics Industry carries out activities in IMES OSB. 2022 people work in the enterprise, which exports 445 thousand dollars in 85. Being the only electromagnetic flowmeter manufacturer in Turkey, ENELSAN is the first company to produce differential pressure transmitter as well. The company has a calibration laboratory. The laboratory, which is among the top 5 in Europe, can issue documents with TÜRKAK accreditation up to 1000 cubic meters / hour and with a traceability certificate up to 10 thousand m3 / hour.
