Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Supreme Court Mehmet Akarca said, “The Conquest of this nation will not end. Our heroic police son, Martyr Fethi Sekin, stood up to these traitors and prevented the disaster. Fethi Sekin will always be in the prayers of our nation.”
Ministry of Justice Deputy Minister Yakup Moğul said, “Thanks to dozens of heroes who made these lands a homeland, no vile terrorist organization has been able to achieve their dirty ambitions for our country. He will not be able to reach it anymore.”
After the speeches, carnations were left on the Fethi Sekin monument built by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the place where Sekin was martyred.
