Noting that the Ankara-Sivas line is one of the most important signs of Turkey's bright future, Karaismailoğlu said that they have further clarified the picture of Turkey they aim to see in the future.

Making a statement in front of the T-16 tunnel, Karaismailoğlu said, “We have declared the railways as the priority sector for our country, which is in an advantageous position in terms of transportation on the Asia-Europe-Middle East axis. We declared a mobilization in the railways and started a brand new era. In the last 20 years, we have spent 1 billion liras of the 653 trillion 346 billion liras we spent on our country's transportation and communication infrastructure on the development and development of our railways. We have renewed all of our existing railway networks and realized projects that took our railways to a new age, and we continue to do so. In this process; We have made great progress for high-speed train projects, renewal and modernization of the existing system, and the development of the national and domestic railway industry. We have created the safest, shortest and most economical international railway corridor from Beijing to London with the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line and Marmaray, which constitute the most important link of the 'One Road One Belt' initiative, which aims to revive the historical Silk Road.

Expressing that they have increased the railway network to 13 thousand 150 kilometers, Karaismailoğlu said that they introduced Turkey to high-speed train management. Karaismailoğlu said, “We have turned the railway travels, which our citizens did not prefer for many years, into the first address of those who want fast and comfortable travel,” Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“With the addition of our Ankara-Sivas High-Speed ​​train line to the high-speed train operation that started between Ankara-Eskişehir for the first time in 2009, an important part of our Ankara-based high-speed rail network will be completed. Currently, we examined the T15 tunnel works between the villages of Hisar and Bedesten, located between Elmadağ district and Yahşihan districts within the scope of Ankara-Sivas YHT line. Our T15 Tunnel constitutes an important part of the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Yozgat-Sivas YHT line. Our high-speed train line has the feature of a line suitable for 250 kilometers per hour. When completed, it will reduce the distance between Ankara and Sivas from 603 kilometers to 405 kilometers. Travel time, which is 12 hours between Ankara and Sivas, will decrease to 2 hours, and between Ankara and Yozgat to 1 hour. Our Ankara-Sivas high-speed rail line will also be an important part of the East-West high-speed rail corridor stretching from Edirne to Kars. With the Ankara-Sivas YHT Line project, whose construction works are nearing the end, we are introducing the comfort of high-speed trains to Kırıkkale, Yozgat and Sivas provinces. Approximately 1 million 400 thousand citizens living in Kırıkkale, Yozgat and Sivas provinces will also have the opportunity to travel by high-speed train.”

OVER THE PROJECT, WE LEFTED VERY IMPORTANT DISTANCES

Underlining that there are 8 stations on the line route, namely Elmadağ, Kırıkkale, Yerköy, Yozgat, Sorgun, Akdağmadeni, Yıldızeli and Sivas, Karaismailoğlu stated that they have left very important distances behind the project. Karaismailoğlu, who stated that they built important art structures in the project, where a total of 155 million cubic meters of excavation and filling were carried out, said, “On a very difficult geography; We built 66 tunnels with a total length of 49 kilometers and 27 viaducts with a total length of 49 kilometers. We built the longest tunnel of the project with 5 thousand 125 meters in Akdağmadeni, and the longest railway viaduct with 2 thousand 220 meters in Çerikli Kırıkkale. We built the railway viaduct with the longest span in Turkey with 90 meters and the railway viaduct with the highest pillar in Turkey with a height of 90 meters in Elmadağ. For the first time in our high-speed train line, we have laid a total of 1630 kilometers of rail using domestic rail. We realized the first ballastless road application in tunnels with 138 kilometers of concrete roads. Again within the scope of the project; We built a local and national ice prevention and defrosting facility in Sivas.

WE HAVE COMPLETED THE LAST TUNNEL BETWEEN KAYAŞ AND BALIŞEYH

Karaismailoğlu stated that they have already completed all the works, including test and certification works, in the 315-kilometer Balıseyh-Sivas section of the project, and emphasized that they are currently continuing the works between the remaining 78-kilometer Kayaş-Balıseyh. Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “We can say that our work here is finished. We have also completed the last tunnel in this section. We are also at the final stage of superstructure, electrification and signaling works. We will complete our work as soon as possible. Now, we aim to enable our citizens residing in Sivas, Yozgat and Kırıkkale to have the opportunity to travel with the comfort of high-speed trains. Our project also includes the Ankara-Yerköy section of our Ankara-Kayseri HT train line, for which we have made the tender. The Ankara-Sivas line is not just a line, it is one of the most important signs of Turkey's bright future. One of the most important elements of our vision for the future is to contribute to the competitiveness of our country and to improve the quality of life of the society; to create a safe, economical, comfortable, environmentally friendly, uninterrupted, balanced and sustainable transportation system.
