Work continues intensively on the Kartepe Cable Car Project, where Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has turned a 50-year-old dream into reality. When the project, which will reach Kuzuyayla from Derbent, is completed, citizens will travel between both stations with a unique view.

DERBENT STATION UPPER DISCHARGE IS FINISHED

As part of the work, the columns of Derbent Station, whose foundation was laid before, were erected and the construction of the curtain walls was completed. At the station where the insulation works were completed, the work of the upper deck was completed soon. In the construction of Kuzuyayla Station, the foundation was laid and isolation works were carried out. Construction work here will continue depending on the weather conditions. The foundations of 16 of the 11 pillars to be placed between both stations were excavated and lean concrete was poured. The teams of the Department of Science Affairs have now started the basic iron production of the poles.

4 THOUSAND 695 METERS LENGTH

The cable car line that will run between Derbent and Kuzuyayla will be 4 thousand 695 meters long. The system will consist of a single rope, detachable terminal and cabins for 10 people. In the cable car project, which will include 2 stations, 73 cabins will serve.

14 MINUTES WILL CONTINUE

The elevation distance on the cable car line with a capacity of 500 people per hour will be 90 meters. Accordingly, the starting level will be 331 meters and the arrival level will be 1421 meters. The distance between the two stations will be exceeded in 14 minutes.
