Important Announcement from IMM to Vehicle Owner Press Members

Press card holders who can use İSPARK's car parks free of charge are required to renew their registration. According to the decision taken by the IMM Assembly, the renewal process also includes the vehicles that were previously registered. In the registration process, which can be easily done online at ispark.istanbul/online-basvuru/, members of the press must upload the press cards issued by the Presidency of Communications and the license image of the vehicle they want to register to the system. The requirement that the press card holder and the license holder be the same person has been abolished. Press card holder will be able to register only one vehicle in the system. Applications must be made by the end of the working day on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

The conditions for free use of the car parks of İSPARK, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), have been changed for press card holders. With the decision taken by the IMM Assembly in December 2022, the application of card submission, which is valid in 2023, was abolished. Press card holders are required to register a vehicle of their choice to the İSPARK plate system through an application. Press card holders will continue to benefit from free use of roadside car parks for 3 hours per day and 8 hours per day from multi-storey and open car parks. Registrations limited to one vehicle will be made at ispark.istanbul/online-basvuru/. As of February 1, 2023, free use of the service with card presentation will be terminated.

Pursuant to the decision taken by the IMM Assembly, the 2023th article that the IMM Real Estate Management Department made changes to the Conditions Regarding the Vehicles Granted Free and Discounted Use in 9 is as follows:

“Press card holders; Provided that they register one (1) vehicle they use for duty reasons (for freight transport and non-commercial) with İSPARK AŞ, they can benefit from roadside car parks for 3 hours a day and from multi-storey and open car parks for 8 hours a day free of charge. In case the free usage period is exceeded, the parking fees arising from the expiration of the time will be charged to the vehicle user and/or the license holder at the normal tariff.”
