Our Minister of Family and Social Services, Derya Yanık, said that after the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January, the old-age pension within the scope of social service models increased to 1.997 TL, the disability pension of 40-69% to 1.594 TL, and the disability pension of 70% and above to 2.392 TL. announced that Home Care Assistance increased to 4.336 TL and Social Economic Support (SED) payment to 3.038 TL.

Minister Yanık, in his statement regarding the payments within the scope of social assistance models with the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient for January, said, "We will deposit the Elderly and Disabled Pension, Home Care Assistance and Social Economic Support payments to the accounts of the beneficiaries in an incremental manner."

Minister Yanık said that in 2023, they will continue to improve their capacity and services regarding social services and aids targeting the whole society, to develop new service models and areas, and to find solutions to new challenges and risks that may arise.

Stating that the pension for the elderly has increased from 1.536 TL to 1.997 TL with the increase in social assistance payments, Minister Yanık said: Citizens' pension increased from 40 TL to 69 TL," he said.

Minister Yanık stated that the pension for the disabled relatives, which is paid to citizens with a disabled relative under the age of 18, increased from 1.226 TL to 1.594 TL.

Home Care Assistance Increased to 4.336 TL

Underlining that an average of 560 disabled citizens are provided with Home Care Assistance per month, Minister Yanık noted that Home Care Assistance increased from 2023 TL to 3.336 TL for the January-July period of 4.336.

Stating that they act with the vision of a society that does not leave anyone behind within the framework of the Vision of the Century of Turkey, Minister Yanık stated that they have provided a total of 2022 billion TL of Home Care Aid in 18 within this scope.

Social Economic Support payment increased

Emphasizing that they are based on the principle of supporting children primarily with their families, Minister Yanık noted that they provide Social and Economic Support (SED) services to families in need for their children. In this context, Minister Yanık said, “The amount of economic support per child in the SIA service increased from an average of 2.337 TL to 3.038 TL. In addition, the monthly average of payments made to foster families per child was increased from 3.644 TL to 4.853 TL.

Individuals are supported by various service and social assistance models

Emphasizing that low-income individuals and families are supported in line with their needs, Minister Yanık said:

“We support individuals in disadvantaged situations with various service and social assistance models. After the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient in January, the old-age pension within the scope of social service models increased to 1.997 TL, the disability pension of 40-69% to 1.594 TL, the disability pension of 70% and above to 2.392 TL, and the Home Care Assistance to 4.336 TL. and Social Economic Support increased to 3.038 TL. After the new regulation, we will deposit the monthly payments of our social assistance programs into the accounts of our beneficiaries in an incremental manner.”
