Folkart is the fourth main sponsor of the Second Century Economics Congress, which will be held in Izmir between February 15-21, 2023 with the slogan “We are building the Turkey of the Future” by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.

Folkart, one of the well-established companies of İzmir, has joined the main sponsors of the Second Century Economics Congress, which will be held in İzmir between 15-21 February 2023 with the slogan “We are building the Turkey of the Future”. The other three main sponsors of the congress are Arkas Holding, Türkiye İş Bankası and Yaşar Holding.

The Second Century Economics Congress, designed as a civil, transparent and fully participatory initiative, aims to create the economic policies of the new century with a common mind.

Four well-established companies sponsor

Folkart, which is equipped with advanced technology, constructs world-class buildings and is deemed worthy of many national and international awards, is among the main sponsors of the Second Century Economics Congress, contributing to the creation of the economic policies of the future.
Arkas, which was born in Izmir and became an international holding, with its deep-rooted 120-year history, provides important and sustainable support to Izmir in the fields of education, sports and the arts, in addition to its significant contributions to Turkey's foreign trade.

Türkiye İş Bankası, which was founded in 1924 with the instruction and participation of Atatürk, following the decision to “establish a commercial main bank” unanimously accepted at the İzmir Economics Congress within the framework of the need for a national bank, has been the dynamo of the economic independence of the young Republic since its establishment. It supports the development of the country's economy.

Yaşar Holding, which leads the industrialization process of our country with the sectors it has brought to Turkey and its investments, especially the paint, food and beverage sectors, continues to contribute to economic development with its strong companies, and to social development with its investments in education, culture, art and sports.

Expert meetings started

The Stakeholder Meetings of the Second Century Economics Congress, held between 10 August and 1 December 2022, and which constitute the first phase of the congress, have been completed. Within the scope of Stakeholder Meetings, many sessions were held with the participation of farmers, workers, industrialists, traders and craftsmen's organizations.

Each stakeholder group has compiled the problems in the sector and the related solution proposals into comprehensive conclusion texts as a result of long discussions. Declarations prepared as a result of Farmer, Worker and Industrialist-Merchant-Tradesman Meetings were shared with the public.
After the stakeholder meetings, the second phase, the Expert Meetings, started on 13 January. The expert meetings, inspired by the concepts of harmony with each other, our nature, our past and the future, which form the concept of "circular culture", will be held under four different headings.

The first expert meeting, “We Agree with Each Other”, was held on 13 January. The “Back to Our Nature” meeting will be on 20 January, the “Understanding Our Past” meeting on 25 January, and the “We See the Future” meeting on 4 February.

Economic Congress of the Second Century

After the Expert Meetings, the Second Century Economics Congress will be held between February 15-21, 2023, and policy proposals that will shape the new century will be shared with all of Turkey.
