TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil announced that Turkey has ordered 83 T129 ATAK Helicopters in total and 74 helicopters have been delivered. It was also reported that 3 helicopters will be delivered to the Gendarmerie.

Kotil said that 4 helicopters will be delivered for export; announced that 2 of the deliveries will be made to the Philippines and 2 to an unnamed country. In this context, the helicopters that will be exported to an unnamed country will be equipped with a domestic nose ball.

Temel Kotil said that the production license of T129 ATAK Helicopters is valid until 2028, and that production will continue if there is a demand. Noting that TAI can produce 2 T129 ATAK Helicopters per month, Kotil also stated that the blades of the helicopter are produced locally in TAI.

The production of T-129 ATAK FAZ-2 helicopters continues. In addition to the production of FAZ-2 helicopters, the upgrade of FAZ-1 helicopters to FAZ-2 continues. In this context, it has been announced that some upgrades will be made in FAZ-2 helicopters. It has been reported that ATAK FAZ-3 will not come.

ANKA marks ATAK targets

Temel Kotil, General Manager of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), made a statement to A Haber. In this context, Kotil stated that ANKA UAVs can communicate with helicopters produced by TAI while they are in the air. Regarding the subject, Kotil used the following statements:

“Our helicopters can work together with ANKAs in the air. For example, the ATAK helicopter can mark and shoot through ANKA's camera. This also applies to GOKBEY. You will see us connecting all these together.”

Making a statement to the journalists on January 11, 2023, TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil announced that ANKA SİHA and ATAK Helicopters can communicate with line-of-sight communication (LOS) at a distance of 200 km. Kotil stated that communication can be achieved at 20-40 Mbps.
