The tender for the 4th phase of Çiğli Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is among the largest facilities in its field in Turkey, was held by the General Directorate of İZSU. The tender commission will announce the outcome of the tender, for which only one firm has submitted a bid, in the coming days after its evaluation.

The tender held for the 4th phase second supply construction of Çiğli Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant was held at the General Directorate of İZSU. Faber İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., which participated in the tender as the sole bidder for the project, whose approximate cost was determined as 516 million 315 TL. and ARBIOGAZ Environmental Technologies Industry and Trade Inc. partnership submitted an offer of 598 million 650 thousand liras. The final decision will be announced in the coming days within the framework of the evaluation of the tender commission in accordance with Article 16/3 of the Public Procurement Communiqué.

The capacity of the facility will increase to 820 thousand 800 cubic meters.

With the projected 4th phase treatment unit, 216 thousand cubic meters of purification additional capacity per day will be obtained. The daily treatment capacity of 604 thousand 800 cubic meters will be increased to 820 thousand 800 cubic meters. Thus, Çiğli Treatment Plant will be in the first place again as the treatment plant with the highest capacity in Turkey.

Necessary maintenance and renovations at Çiğli Waste Water Treatment Plant, which operates 24 hours a day, will accelerate with the introduction of the 4th phase, and it will be possible to treat wastewater at higher flow rates in rainy weather. As in the existing treatment plant, the wastewater in the new lines to be built will be treated with purely biological methods and no chemicals will be used.
