A rescue exercise was carried out in Yedikuyular Ski Center in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, Yedikuyular Ski Center Search and Rescue Team, AFAD, JAK and AKUT. Citizens trapped in the chairlift as per the scenario were safely lowered to the ground by the teams.

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality; continues its activities in order to increase the skills of the personnel assigned in disaster and emergency situations and to ensure coordination with stakeholder institutions. In this context, under the coordination of the Governor's Office, the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, Yedikuyular Ski Center Search and Rescue Team, AFAD, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK), AKUT and Akbel Occupational Health and Safety Team carried out an exercise to rescue the citizens who were stranded in the event of a malfunction in the cable car lines at Yedikuyular Ski Center. . In the drill, which does not look for the truth, the teams safely lowered the citizens who were trapped in the chairlift, with the help of ropes, as per the scenario. The harmonious work, speed and conscious intervention of the teams in the challenging exercise were appreciated.

We are ready as equipment and personnel

In the statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department, "We conduct drills with different scenarios such as fire, earthquake and search and rescue in order to increase the skills of the personnel in charge in disaster and emergency situations and to ensure their coordination. Today, a rescue exercise was held at Yedikuyular Ski Center with the participation of relevant public institutions and organizations. As per the scenario, the citizens who were trapped in the chairlift were rescued by our teams. We are ready as equipment and personnel against any natural disaster and emergency situation. Our in-service trainings will continue to increase the skills and coordination of our personnel against natural disasters and emergencies.
