The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure made a call to support 5G mobile communication infrastructure development projects. Noting that the applications will end on February 3, the Ministry stated that a total of 5 million TL support will be given to domestic and national 200G projects by UDHAM.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure; It was noted that 5G studies are continuing by the Ministry, and 5G technology is experienced by citizens at Istanbul Airport.

Emphasizing that it is aimed to offer the speed that will compete with the world in 5G, attention was drawn to the importance of domestic and national projects in this process. In this context, in the statement announced by the Transportation, Maritime and Communication Research Center (UDHAM) to support "5G mobile communication infrastructure development projects", the statement said, "With 5G Mobile Communication Infrastructure Development projects, higher bandwidth, higher speed, lower latency, It is aimed to develop the necessary software and hardware products for the mobile communication infrastructure that provides high-density coverage, high availability, low energy consumption, high efficiency, different services in different network slices and the transmission of large amounts of data. Within the scope of the call, it is aimed to encourage domestic and national production, to reduce foreign dependency in advanced technology products, and to support R&D activities in the field of communication with the projects to be supported by R&D.

LEGAL PERSONS FROM PRIVATE AND PUBLIC CAN APPLY

In the statement, which noted that private and public law legal entities operating in Turkey can apply jointly or separately, the qualifications sought for applicants are listed as follows:

“The subject of the project is related to the field of activity of the institution applying for support for the R&D project, the applicant institutions have been operating for at least one year as of the date of application, excluding public institutions and organizations, the number of personnel involved in the project (excluding public institutions and organizations) At least one-third of the staff must be employed within the company for at least one year. In case the organizations come together and apply for a joint project, one of the partners will be specified in the project application as the main addressee of the project. In joint applications; The organizations will jointly meet the condition that at least one third of the personnel involved in the project must be employed within their body for at least one year. Organizations will be able to apply for only one project, individually or jointly, for each sector in an application period. At the end of the call, the applicant company will submit a cooperation protocol, including the purchase guarantee, test integration activities, technical conditions, financial support, to be made with at least one Mobile Network Operator authorized by the BTK for the product to be developed at the end of the application.

UP TO 36 MONTHS SUPPORT

In the statement, it was stated that support will be provided for up to 36 months, and it was emphasized that the support rate could be a maximum of 75 percent of the total budget requested. In the statement, which noted that the co-financing rate was determined as a minimum of 25 percent, “A project owner can apply for more than one call title. However, in this case, the products containing the applied call titles must be complementary to each other. The total support budget within the scope of the call for the first period of 2023 is 200 million TL. The upper limit of the total amount of support to be made by UDHAM for a project owner was determined as 20 million TL.

In the statement, which stated that the applications started on January 6 and will continue until February 3, 16.00, it was noted that the necessary documents can be accessed from the address “udham.uab.gov.tr”.
