Women in Eskişehir will do their own car maintenance

Organized by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Equality Unit and supported by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Machinery Supply and Maintenance and Repair Department, “Car Maintenance Course for Women” was completed with applied training.

In the training program created by the Metropolitan Municipality, women were given theoretical and practical training for 4 weeks on many subjects such as simple car repair operations, oil and water control, tire and wiper replacement.

After the last training day at the Metropolitan Municipality Maintenance and Repair Center, the trainees received their participation certificates.

In the last training attended by Social Services Department Head Hale Kargın, the women thanked the Metropolitan Municipality for organizing such courses and stated that they would now take care of their vehicles themselves.

Hale Kargın, Head of Social Services Department, congratulated the trainees and said, “We have been carrying out the first and only women's Car Maintenance Course in our country for 5 years. Women will now be able to do the basic maintenance of their vehicle themselves, without asking for help from anyone. We show both ourselves and the society that women can do these things without asking for help. Congratulations to our trainees.” she said.
