Selman Günaydın was born in Torbalı in 1988. He graduated from Torbalı Anatolian Imam Hatip High School and AU Local Administrations Department. He graduated from the Leadership Academy organized by the Turkish Industry Management Institute (TÜSSIDE) within the body of TÜBİTAK. He completed the Local Administrations Academy program at the Government Leadership School of Bahçeşehir University. He started his politics in AKP Youth Branch. He was a member of the Izmir Provincial Youth Branch Board of Directors. He served as a member of the 6th Term Provincial Board of the AKP İzmir Provincial Presidency. In 2020, he was elected AKP Torbalı District President.
