84 percent of the 'Science Center and Planetarium' construction, which will be brought to the city by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and which will be the first in the Black Sea, has been completed. President Mustafa Demir said, “This center will change many things in the lives of young people.”

The construction works of the first Science Center and Planetarium project of the Black Sea Region, built by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in the Samsun- Ordu highway Gelemen location, continue rapidly.

YOUTH'S DREAMS WILL KNOW NO LIMITS

In the project specially designed for everyone who is interested in science, technology and innovation, young people will be able to contribute to science and make productions without limiting their dreams. The center, which will make a great contribution to the lives of children in education age, will also be the new meeting point of young people with its living space. The project also includes a meeting room where training seminars can be held and an exhibition area where domestic and international exhibitions will be held.

The Planetarium area, where basic information is given about the universe and the solar system, stars, planetary system and galaxies in the universe, promises to take visitors on exciting journeys to the stars, a DNA molecule or a microchip.

EVERYTHING IS CONSIDERED FOR YOUTH

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, "An investment in generations is an investment in the future of our country," and said, "We are carrying out numerous studies for our youth to grow up in the fields of sports, education, culture, art and science and be very successful. In line with this goal, we are taking very important steps in every field, and we will continue to do so. The 'Science Center and Planetarium', which will be the first in the Black Sea region, is one of those works. Everyone from 7 to 70 will be interested in this center. It will open a different horizon for our youth, children and everyone living in Samsun, and lay a foundation. Construction is progressing rapidly. We will complete this center as soon as possible and present it to our youth.”
