It put the Asarcık – Kavak Road into service.

“We will continue to support Samsun so that it can use its potential at the highest level.”

Stating that the length of the divided road in Samsun has been increased from 20 kilometers to 120 kilometers in the last 312 years, the President announced that the Ladik-Taşova Road, Samsun-Bafra Road and Samsun Ring Road, which are under construction, will be completed in 2023.

Erdogan said that they will continue to support Samsun, which is at the intersection of Eastern and Western Black Sea and Central Anatolia, so that it can use its potential at the highest level.

After the speeches, the completed projects were presented to the citizens with the cutting of the opening ribbons.

With the project, the road standard of the section between Asarcık and Kavak was raised

Asarcık – Kavak Road, which is projected to be 24,7 kilometers long, was built with a 2 kilometers divided road and 22,7 kilometers single road standard, with bituminous hot mix pavement. Within the scope of the project, 3 at-grade intersections, 1 underpass and 1.752 culverts with a length of 56 m were installed.

With the project, the road standards of the section between Asarcık and Kavak were increased, the heavy tonnage vehicle traffic concentrated due to the factories on the route was relieved, and a comfortable and safe flow of transportation was ensured.

The section where the standard of the road is low and curvy was also bypassed with the project, thus shortening the route by 1 km. The Asarcık city crossing of the road, the superstructure of which was made with a bituminous hot mixture coating, was passed with a divided road, increasing the driving comfort, the travel time was shortened by 10 minutes and reduced to 25 minutes.

With the Asarcık – Kavak Road, a total of 14,4 million TL will be saved annually, 5,8 million TL from time and 20,2 million TL from fuel; exhaust emissions will be reduced by 1.189 tons per year.
