Rent Increase Rate in School Canteens Fixed to 25 Percent

The regulation containing the Amendment to the Regulation on the School-Parent Association of the Ministry of National Education was published in the Official Gazette.

According to the temporary article added to the regulation, the rent increase to be made until 11/9/2023 (including this date) in the rental prices of the canteens and similar places in schools, whose contract period exceeds one year; It will be applied at the rate of twenty-five percent of the rental price of the previous rental year. If the rate of change in the consumer price index of the previous rental year is below twenty-five percent compared to the twelve-month averages, the rate of change will be valid. In the period between the start date of the 2022-2023 academic year and the publication date of the Regulation establishing this article (including these dates), the rental income collected according to the provisions of the current contract will be recalculated according to this article and necessary collection, deduction and refund transactions will be carried out.
