While snowfall is expected for the season to open even in the ski resorts, Mehmetçik's struggle against cold weather and snow, as well as the difficult terrain, has been going on for a month.

Snow thickness exceeded 312 centimeters in 20 of the domestic and cross-border base areas affiliated to our Land Forces Command. In the Misalok Base Area in the north of Iraq, the snow depth approached one meter.
