The Ministry of National Education Pasaj platform, which enables the products produced in maturation institutes, vocational and technical education schools, public education centers and special education vocational schools to be opened to the whole world through PttAVM, was introduced to the public at a ceremony attended by Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.

MEB Passage project; It was implemented in order to expand the capacity of educational institutions, to transform the learning by doing process into production, to support women and individuals with special education needs and to participate in the production cycle, and to introduce cultural heritage to the world.

Within the scope of the project, 541 stores within the body of maturation institutes, vocational and technical education schools, public education centers and special education vocational schools were registered in the MEB Passage system within PttAVM, and e-commerce training was given to all stores by the PTT. Approximately 5 thousand products were shared in Meb Pasaj.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, who explained that huge investments have been made under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the last twenty years in order to increase the quality of human capital while providing education services as the Ministry at the MEB Passage presentation ceremony; He stated that they made great efforts to strengthen the "education, production, employment" chain.

MEB can produce all the products it needs in its own schools.

Noting that vocational education deserves a separate page in this context, Özer said that the production within the scope of revolving funds in vocational education offers important opportunities for the skills of learning by doing and producing to become permanent. Noting that the skills obtained before graduation increase employability and that students and teachers receive a share from the production within the scope of revolving fund, Minister Özer emphasized that the Ministry of National Education can produce all the products it needs in its own schools.

Stating that they have increased the production capacity of vocational training by taking these four benefits into account, Özer underlined that the turnover, which was 2018 million in 200, reached a production capacity of 2022 billion TL in the 11-month period of 2. Özer said that approximately 100 million liras of this production was distributed to students and 200 million liras to teachers as a contribution.

Özer said: “Vocational high school students fill an important gap in terms of meeting the human resources needed by the labor market while receiving education. At the same time, it is going through a very important process that generates income during the education phase, establishes a fair relationship with labor, and values education. This will be a really big win for our country in the long run. The more we can put production at the center of all our processes, the stronger our country will be able to look to the future.”

Underlining that the Kovid-19 epidemic showed the whole world that the existence of money is not important if production cannot be made, Özer stated that they had to evaluate processes with an approach that centers production in every field. Özer continued his words as follows:

“In this context, we are trying to strengthen our mechanisms in order to ensure the connection with production and employment in education. We took the next step regarding intellectual property. You all know. With the honor of our President, we opened 50 R&D centers in vocational education in the Kulliye. Currently, the number of R&D centers has exceeded 55. In other words, the Ministry of National Education is trying to spread the culture related to intellectual property, patent, utility model, trademark and design registrations especially in vocational education to all education units, and we have seen the results of this in a very short time. The annual average registered product of the Ministry of National Education in the last ten years was 2,9. In 2022, we received the registration of 8 products. We have commercialized 300 of these products. In other words, our students started to develop innovative approaches, intellectual property, industrial rights and culture in secondary education and basic education. We really see this as a very important opportunity for the future of our country.”

Explaining that vocational high schools have started to export abroad, Minister Özer said, “Vocational high school students do not only export products. It also manufactures the machine that produces the products it exports. For him, this move is a move that will have a very important contribution in the long run.” said.

Özer stated that the production capacity of vocational training was increased during the Kovid-19 epidemic, where many countries had difficulty in supplying masks, and the needs such as masks, disinfectants, disposable gowns, respirators, mask machines were produced quickly and delivered to healthcare workers and every point of Turkey free of charge. “This modest production capacity has made the most important contribution to Turkey's overcoming of the Kovid-19 outbreak very easily.” he said.

Noting that the production capacity is not only in vocational training, Özer said, “We have vocational schools where children with special hearts receive vocational training. There is also production capacity there. Again, there are maturation institutes that carry all their production capacities from the past to the present. The maturation institutes, each of which has a very important historical mission, carrying the past production memory to the present day, and which are the center of efforts to transform those products from ornaments into daily and used items with new approaches and innovative approaches, have started to increase their production capacity.”

“We are taking steps to carry the production capacity of MEB to a new stage”

Stating that the innovative approach in maturation institutes was first opened in Istanbul İstiklal Caddesi under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's wife, Emine Erdoğan, Özer said, “Again, very serious productions are being made in our 1000 public education centers. Today, we are taking another step in moving this production capacity to a different stage. Now, for the first time in the PTT AVM, we will deliver the products produced by the Ministry of National Education to the whole of Turkey through e-commerce, and also abroad, as the PTT is also connected with abroad. Thus, we will have the opportunity to expand the education-production cycle much more strongly and to increase its capacity.” said.

Minister Özer wished this new initiative to be beneficial and thanked the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and his colleagues for their support.

“MEB Pasaj is a social responsibility project in a way”

In his speech, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu pointed out that electronic commerce is increasing exponentially every year as a result of the intense and rapid development of digitalization, and noted that in electronic commerce, consumers can easily access the product they want for 24 hours. Karaismailoğlu stated that in this context, thanks to the MEB Pasaj, it will also contribute to the employment of special children and women, from education to production.

Karaismailoğlu said, “MEB Pasaj is also very valuable for us, in fact, it is a social responsibility project in a way. Hopefully, with this joint work we have done with the Ministry of National Education, an important task will be fulfilled in order to ensure that specially produced products reach the citizens and consumers.” said.

“There will be no commission and shipping fee for 6 months from the stores of private education institutions”

Karaismailoğlu continued: “We have opened a special section for MEB products at mebpasaj.pttavm.com. PTT does not do this to anyone from the stores we open for our private education institutions in PTT Mall, no commission fee and shipping fee will be charged for 6 months from the date of the protocol. We are extremely pleased with this step, which we believe will strengthen employment. I congratulate our friends and wish our project good luck. Hopefully, as the system settles in the developing process, both our students, schools and citizens will benefit from this contribution. Of course, I would like to thank the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer for the emergence and implementation of this project. I would also like to thank our PTT General Directorate and PTT employees.”
