Art meetings continue in Galeri Beylikdüzü, one of the meeting points of art lovers, which was brought to the district with the cooperation of Beylikdüzü Municipality and Batı İstanbul Education Culture and Arts Foundation. Artist Maria Roza, who met with young art lovers at the Art Talks event, talked about her relationship with animals that inspired her first solo exhibition, “Parallel Animals”, which she opened in Istanbul.

Transferring the difficulties she experienced in her artistic adventure to young artists, Roza said that she chose this name to emphasize the bond she has with the animals she grew up with. Roza said, “Animals have a very important place in my life. My childhood was spent with them. I created my works by ascribing a meaning to them. I actually wanted to honor them. There is only one woman in my works. The animals out there make up for that loneliness,” she said. Making suggestions to young artists, Roza said, “Be free in all your thoughts. When I took my first art history class, I said 'this is where I want to be'. In order not to fall into a certain mould, I constantly acquired an area of interest. I have always learned something from these areas of interest. I always used my imagination. I created my works by expressing this power.”
