Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which enables the citizens living throughout the city to travel faster and safer with the slogan of "innovation in transportation", provides sea transportation services in the Gulf of Izmit, apart from land transportation. Passenger transportation is carried out between İzmit 2 Mart Pier and Gölcük, Değirmendere, Karamürsel, Derince, Tütünçiftlik, Yarımca and Hereke piers with 4 passenger ferries and 1 passenger motor fleets by the Department of Transportation. Apart from public transportation services, daily and seasonal tours and activities are organized.
