Expressing that an investment of 183 billion dollars has been made, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “Transportation is the dynamo of all sectors. We follow the emerging trends. The issues that will bring digitalization to the agenda much more are in our target. We will launch our domestic and national satellite into space next year. We have invested $183 billion in the last two decades. We increased the number of airports to 57. We increased our divided road network from 6 thousand kilometers to 29 thousand kilometers.
Minister Karaismailoğlu continued his words as follows: “On some days, 80 thousand vehicles passed through the Osmangazi Bridge. There are 26 million vehicles today. But the traffic jam is less than 20 years ago. Thanks to planned investments, production increased and tourism increased. Last year, we launched the Turkish SAT 5A and 5B into space. We launched it in June. 130 thousand vehicles pass through Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge. Thanks to safe roads, we save the lives of our citizens. We reduce emissions. We have planned our investments until 2053. We planned an investment of 198 billion dollars. TÜRKSAT 6-A is our domestic and national satellite. Production processes continue. We will be one of the 100 countries represented in space on the 10th anniversary of our Republic.”
