The foundation of the mass housing project of 546 flats, implemented by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for municipal personnel and low-income families, was laid. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the housing estates to be built on an area of 36 thousand square meters in Çiğli. Tunç Soyer, Narlıdere Mayor Ali Engin, Çiğli Deputy Mayor Deniz Çıtak, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Barış Karcı, municipal bureaucrats, council members, headmen, municipal personnel and their families.

We are starting a very important project that will make the dreams of the valuable workers of our municipality come true. Today, we are laying the foundation of our social housing project consisting of 14 10-storey blocks. With this project, we are not only constructing buildings, but also a living space for our employees. EGEŞEHİR Mass Housing Project is located at the very starting point of Taş Vadi Living Park, which we will start to build next year. Our priority is safety. In every building to be built within the scope of the project, we install building health monitoring systems, through which we can continuously monitor the state of the building against earthquakes. With this project, which we will complete in two and a half years by considering every single detail, we will establish a living space here that our staff and citizens deserve. This project is of great value not only in terms of the campus being built, but also in reviving our İzmir Metropolitan Municipality EGEŞEHİR company. In the past, Ege Şehir has realized projects that have an important place in our city's memory, such as EVKAs and Universiade residences. With the new vision of our Metropolitan Municipality, we are making this company one of the important actors of İzmir once again.”
We perform a miracle together
President Soyer said that it is unacceptable that only polarization, inequality and injustice remain with today's generations from these lands, and said, “We know that there is no obstacle that we cannot overcome as long as we are together. For this reason, we carried the cooperative model that we applied in transportation, recycling, agriculture, urban transformation and Halk Konut project to our Aegean City Mass Housing Project. By reintegrating cooperatives into our lives, we increase the prosperity of our city and ensure its fair distribution despite very difficult conditions. You will see, together we will build a future where everyone living in this country walks with their heads held high. We are performing a miracle. When I came here, our sweet children, all of them, welcomed me. They gave flowers. I stroked their heads, loved them, and thought about this. In two and a half years, we will deliver the keys here. And after that, those children will live their youth here. They will experience their youth by meeting with nature in the Living Park, which is connected to our mass housing facilities.”

546 houses will be built
EGESEHIR INC. 546 residences will be built by Mass housing projects were designed in accordance with current legislation and regulations. It was aimed to include sensitive solutions to earthquake safety, climate change and sustainability issues. Mechanical and electrical installation projects were designed with the aim of class A energy identity. The block on the roof floor has been designed in accordance with the use of solar panels to support the common hot water heater and the use of photovoltaic panels, which are intended to contribute to the lighting needs of the building common areas. The block terrace roof will be partially arranged as a green roof.
The architectural project will consist of 14 10-storey blocks. 7 of the blocks will be 3+1 flats and 7 of them will be 2+1 flats. The residential area of the building to be built in the project is 6 thousand 500 square meters, the structural landscaping area is 12 thousand 300 square meters and the vegetative landscape area is 17 thousand 168 square meters.
