İBB Completely Renovated the Abandoned Sarayburnu Park

İBB has completely renovated Sarayburnu Park, which has been abandoned for about 17 years and has become derelict. IMM President, who made investigations in the area where the works were mostly completed. Ekrem İmamoğluHe also answered journalists' questions about the agenda here. When asked by a journalist about the 12 percent discount on natural gas in Istanbul, İmamoğlu said, “Without any consultation, they described it with a statement saying, 'We made a discount'. What they did here was a price announcement by cutting 56 percent of the portion where İGDAŞ manages its own administrative shares. In other words, they actually deducted from İGDAŞ's share. If people don't suffer such a problem, why would such a move be made? As İGDAŞ, if a contribution is made to the budget of Istanbul residents as İBB, it is pleasing to us. But let me tell you: the government has no contribution. The share of İGDAŞ has been cut off at the moment. All our citizens should know this.”

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlumade examinations at Sarayburnu Park, which was reorganized within the scope of the “150 Projects in 150 Days” marathon and was opened to the use of citizens to a large extent. Imamoglu, who received information about completed and ongoing projects from IMM Deputy Secretary General Gürkan Alpay and Head of Parks, Gardens and Green Spaces Department Çağatay Seçkin, made his statements on the subject accompanied by a panoramic view of Istanbul. Saying, “We are in one of the most impressive points of Istanbul,” İmamoğlu said that they handled an area that has been neglected and abandoned for about 17 years, shortly after they took office.

“LEAVING AN ATTRACTIVE AREA CLOSED CAN BE A SYMBOL OF ADMINISTRATION'S INFLUENCE”

Saying, “Leaving an area of Istanbul that stands out with such attractiveness so derelict may actually be a symbol of an administration's indifference,” said İmamoğlu. It made me very sad. In the second or third month of my office, when we received a complaint about the monument here, we rushed here and I was saddened when I saw the neglect around it. Then we sat down with my friends, talked and started a project process. And the board process of the project was followed. Unfortunately there, it lasted for over 2 years with controversy. And as a result, we started the tender, etc., as soon as the permission was granted. We finished very quickly,” he said.

THE LINE IS "ARCHEOPRAC"

Stating that they put a 21 thousand square meter park and green area into service in the first stage, İmamoğlu gave the good news that the 13 thousand square meter “Arkeopark” section will be in contact with Istanbulites in March or April 2023. He underlined that there is a “pleasant and insatiable view” in the area where the first Atatürk monument in the history of the Turkish Republic is located. İmamoğlu said, “If you say, 'Tell me one of the five most valuable points of Istanbul', this is probably one of them. It finds the value it deserves, the position and design it deserves. We are proud to collect one of the must-see spots, not only for Istanbulites, but also for millions of guests, but also for local and foreign tourists, with its viewing terraces, grass fields, and insatiable and delightful photographs of people, who work diligently and meticulously to every point of them, to all my friends who contributed.” .
