Turkish Systems as a 'RESOLUTION' to Azerbaijan Airspace

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that the domestic and national multi-purpose radar system CARE, produced by Turkish engineers, will be used in sister country Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure made a statement regarding the protocol signed between the State Airports Authority (DHMI) and Azerbaijan Airlines Air Navigation Subsidiary AZANS (Azeraeronavigation). In the statement; “Within the scope of this protocol, we signed the sales contract of the CARE system, one of the domestic and national R&D projects, whose intellectual and industrial property rights belong to the General Directorate of State Airports Authority and developed entirely by our Turkish engineers, with Azerbaijan. We have made our first product sale”.

FIRST EXPORT TO AZERBAIJAN

The statement stated that software integration studies will be carried out primarily in the existing systems in the squares where the system will be commissioned, and continued as follows:

“After the integration activities, the installation of the equipment will be completed in three separate air traffic control units, primarily at Baku Haydar Aliyev Airport. 'User Training', 'Airspace Identification Training' and 'Maintenance Attitude Training' will be given to users after the acceptance tests are carried out. The installation process of REMEDY systems will be completed in approximately 7 months. Our country will continue to carry out its activities in line with its vision of being a producing country, not a consumer of technology. Every project we develop with domestic and national resources will continue to make significant contributions to our aviation and national economy.”

USED IN MORE THAN 40 AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL UNITS IN TURKISH AIRSPACE

Underlining that the CARE system serves more than 40 air traffic control units in the Turkish Airspace, the statement said, “CARE is a human-machine interface application that displays real-time flight data on the map within the framework of air traffic control management capability. CARE, with its user-friendly interface, not only allows air traffic controllers to manage air traffic effectively, but also ensures that air traffic safety is maintained at the highest level. We attach importance to using our domestic production and engineering facilities in all our projects. Today, in terms of technology, we have become an engineering exporting country. This is thanks to the knowledge, skills and experience we have gained in the work we do. CARE is the best example of this” expressions were used.
