This year's work has been completed by the Identification and Evaluation Board of Intangible Cultural Heritage Carriers under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In the second meeting of the board, 360 more masters were entitled to receive an "Artist Identification Card". The main purpose of the board meetings held regularly every year by the General Directorate of Research and Education affiliated to the Ministry is to support traditional arts and artists in Turkey, to train new masters, to increase the production and visibility of traditional arts and to ensure that they reach large masses. In this direction, masters who have traditional and historical knowledge about the art they perform, have reached a certain maturity in this field, and can apply new techniques related to this art without breaking with the tradition of traditional handicrafts can apply to the Board.

With this study, the Ministry includes traditional arts; It provides an important service in the field of social memory by recording it in the "Folk Culture Information and Documentation Center" with its field researches, identification, archiving and publication studies conducted throughout the country.

The Board gave "Artist Identification Cards" to 290 people in the first period this year, and with the addition of 360 more to this number in the second period, a total of 2022 masters were given Artist Identification Cards in 650. With these figures, the number of artists registered in the Folk Culture Information and Documentation Center has risen to 5.
