British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, who changed direction in the fashion world with her unique style, passed away at the age of 81. It was stated that Westwood died "in peace, surrounded by his family".

The statement said that Westwood continued to do the things he loved "to the last moment", including designing and working on his book.
Westwood became one of the prominent names on the fashion scene in the 1970s with his androgynous designs, slogan t-shirts and critical attitude. He played an important role in the birth of punk culture.
His designs have been worn by many famous names, including the iconic punk rock band, the Sex Pistols.

Dame Vivienne Isabel Westwood DBE RDI (née Swire; born 8 April 1941 – Died 29 December 2022) was an English fashion designer and businesswoman largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream.
Westwood came to public attention when she and Malcolm McLaren made clothes for the boutique they run on King's Road, known as SEX. His abilities to synthesize clothing and music shaped the UK punk scene of the 1970s, dominated by McLaren's band, the Sex Pistols. He saw punk as a way to “see if you can put a finger on the system.”
Westwood opened four stores in London and eventually expanded to the UK and the world, selling an increasingly diverse range of goods, some of which supported his many political causes, such as the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, climate change and civil rights groups.
Westwood had two children. His son, Ben Westwood (born 1963), with Derek Westwood, is an erotic photographer. His son Joseph Corré (born 1967) with Malcolm McLaren is the founder of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.
She married Andreas Kronthaler, a former fashion student, in 1992.
Westwood lived for 30 years in an old town hall on Nightingale Lane, Clapham, until in 2000 Kronthaler persuaded him to move into a once-owned Queen Anne-style house in Clapham that was built in 1703. To Captain Cook's mother. She was an avid gardener and vegetarian.
