Turkey's First Environmental Social Housing Project Completed

İBB subsidiary KİPTAŞ completed the Tuzla Meydan Evler project, which consists of 158 independent units, 6 months before the completion date. The beneficiaries got their homes early. Speaking at the turnkey ceremony of Turkey's First Environmental Social Housing project, which saves 20 thousand liters of water per day, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, said that with the understanding that puts an end to waste and puts savings into action, the municipality's budget is blessed. Reminding that the foundation of the Tuzla Meydan Evler project was laid, the mayor of the district made slanderous words that the license would not be granted and could not be done, İmamoğlu said, "Today, these words and scribbles have been proven wrong." Giving the good news that the Bostancı-Dudullu metro will be brought to Istanbul as a New Year's gift on the first day of 2023, İmamoğlu said, “Be aware that where there is abundance, there is investment. Where there is abundance, there is bringing your people together with good works. I am claiming that; The IMM budget has never been so fertile. There is a lot of prayers and support with us," he said.

“IMM'S BUDGET HAS NEVER BEEN SO FABULOUS. WE HAVE A LOT OF PRAYER, SUPPORT WITH US”

KİPTAŞ Tuzla Meydan Evler, the foundation of which was laid on May 31, 2021 by KİPTAŞ, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and consisting of 158 independent units, was completed. Turnkey ceremony of the project, consisting of 5 blocks, 149 residences, 9 commercial units and 1 nursery, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu took place with the participation. Stating that he is proud of fulfilling his promises to Istanbulites, İmamoğlu noted that they will put forth the highest level of effort not to embarrass the people of Istanbul. Giving the good news that the Bostancı-Dudullu metro will be brought to Istanbul as a New Year's gift on the first day of 2023, Mayor İmamoğlu said, “We promise and we keep our promises. I am happy,” he said.

YOU DON'T KNOW HOW METICULOUS I WORKED FOR ISTANBUL'S RESOURCES…

Stating that the promises made were fulfilled for certain reasons, İmamoğlu said, "Keeping the promises we made to our 16 million people, and being talked about a lot with the services we have done in three years, it makes me very happy to see that some people consider the 25 years they have managed to compete with 3,5 years." used the phrases. Expressing that the projects came to life by putting an end to the waste in the budget of Istanbul residents, İmamoğlu continued his statement as follows:

“You have no idea how meticulously we work to redeem the wealth and money of this city for the people of this city. When you eliminate waste and realize savings, it is so easy to fulfill your promises. That's why, if you put your mind to serving, then there is no job in Istanbul that you can't accomplish and bring to a conclusion.”

IMM'S BUDGET HAS NEVER BEEN SO BETTER

Noting that the understanding that puts an end to waste and realizes savings brings abundance to Istanbul's budget, İmamoğlu said, “Blessedness is a very precious concept. You have to give your due. When you put an end to the waste system at work, abundance will sprout, grow and become huge in your budget. You generate more work than you would expect. I'm not talking about a miracle, I'm talking about the talisman of abundance. Where there is abundance, there is investment. Where there is abundance, there is bringing your people together with good works. I am claiming that the budget of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has never been so fertile. We have a lot of prayers and support with us," he said.

SAVING 20 THOUSAND LITER DAYS OF WATER

Stating that they brought another dimension to the concept of social housing with the concept of abundance, İmamoğlu said, “KİPTAŞ has started a new era. We are proud to have implemented such an application for the first time in a social housing project in Turkey. We save 20 thousand liters of water per day to our citizens only in this project. When you look at it, we are going through a dry period this year. So we have to be a little more meticulous in the flow of the faucet in each of your homes.

IF I MADE SUCH A MESSAGE…

Reminding that the foundation of the KİPTAŞ Tuzla Meydan Evler project was laid in 2021, İmamoğlu continued:

“After almost 1,5 years, we are bringing this project together with our people 6 months ahead of schedule. While we were laying the foundation of this place here, efforts were made to sabotage it. There was a district mayor who came and said from the rostrum that the project was inappropriate and that a license could not be granted. In other words, to put an institution of the state in trouble with these expressions. His attempt to slander, denigrate and, so to speak, distract people's interest in the houses, which nearly 41 thousand people applied to and where 149 of them will enter their homes today, was completely in vain. I regret to remind you of this. If I had said such a thing, I would really blush today. I'd even say it was bruised, it wouldn't be enough if it was red. I'm not wondering if someone else's face will turn red. Sadly, I warned him that day, too. You are doing wrong. We are a government agency. The government agency does not condescend to this kind of work. Because, in this city, hundreds of people have laid the groundwork for the wrong practices and works done before us, from the title deed to the construction servitude, from wrong projects, without a protocol.

We are an administration that has corrected it to the point. Despite my reminders and warnings, this insistence continued. However, as you can see, the fact that it has come to a conclusion is also proof of how wrong he was and that he was attempting to defame us.”

WE HAVE EQUAL LOOKS TO 16 MILLION

Saying, “We have mobilized a building order that does not isolate itself but integrates with the environment, a building order that increases the sense of neighborliness”, İmamoğlu said, “My friends have also produced a nursery in a suitable area... Here is the result of our social democratic understanding that strengthens the social life culture starting from social housing. not discriminating people. I feel so close to the 16 million people of this city, regardless of their identity, life, belief, political view, because of the sense of providing equal service to people, God witness, I am no different from any of them than I am with anyone else. If my citizen is happy while serving, if I can take that happiness from his eyes. For me, the rest is trivial. We have an eye and a heart that looks at our 16 million people equally.”

After the key delivery ceremony, İmamoğlu was a guest at the house of one of the beneficiaries, Oğuzhan Canpolat. Drinking coffee with their hosts and dark sohbetİmamoğlu took a souvenir photo with the family.

BRIGHT HOUSES ARE COMING TOO

KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt also used the following statements at the ceremony:

“Together with Tuzla Meydan Evleri, we have delivered three of our four social housing foundations, and we have delivered our 1752 independent social housing project. Our next target is our Tuzla Aydınlık Evler Social Housing Project. Unless there is an extraordinary setback, we will make the rules for determining beneficiaries flats in January 2023. We will announce our delivery date in the same period.”

Composed of 158 independent units, KİPTAŞ Tuzla Meydan Evler stands out with the “Grey Water Recovery” system, which is used for the first time in a social housing project in Turkey. With the “Grey Water Recovery System”, the water used in the houses (domestic waste water from showers, bathtubs, sinks, washing machines and kitchens, etc.) will be purified and reused (in the reservoirs of toilet bowls and for garden irrigation). Thus, both the water bills of those living in these houses and approximately 100 thousand liters of water, which are needed by an average of 150-20 people in just one day, will be saved, and a significant contribution will be made to the protection of natural water resources and the environment.
