Boots and Coats Distributed to 600 Thousand Students in 25 Schools in İzmir

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality started to distribute boots and coats to 600 thousand students studying in 25 schools throughout the city. The amount of support has exceeded 2019 million liras since 25.

The distribution of winter clothes to students in need began through the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Social Services Department. In line with the lists of İzmir Provincial Directorate of National Education, boots and coats are delivered to primary and secondary school students in 30 schools in 600 districts.

Contribution to students, lifeline to tradesmen

2022 thousand coats and boots are distributed by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for the 2023-25 academic year. Necessary materials for the production of boots and coats purchased from İzmir Bornova Vocational Training Center are procured from tradesmen from İzmir. In this direction, a contribution of 13 million 500 thousand TL was made to the tradesmen in the textile and footwear sector in this education period.

Support exceeded 25 million TL

Within the scope of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality boot-coat project, the total cost of providing boots and coats to 104 thousand 164 students in need in the last four years has been 25 million 286 thousand 264 TL.
