The International Red Crescent Friendship Short Film Festival will meet with moviegoers between 22-25 December 2022. Neşet Ertaş's son Hüseyin Ertaş and his close friend Bayram Bilge Tokel will be speakers at the opening event of the festival held this year in memory of 'Neşet Ertaş'.

The 5th International Red Crescent Friendship Short Film Festival, organized under the umbrella of the Turkish Red Crescent with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the General Directorate of Cinema, begins. During the festival, organized in memory of Neşet Ertaş on the 10th anniversary of his death, 27 short films and 48 documentaries from 16 countries will be screened in five different venues.

The opening of the festival will be with the screening of the documentary "Ah Yalan Dünya", made in memory of Neşet Ertaş by Atalay Taşdiken and Hacı Mehmet Duranoğlu. Neşet Ertaş's son Hüseyin Ertaş, his close friends Bayram Bilge Tokel and Atalay Taşdiken will be speakers at the panel that will be held after the screening, under the moderation of festival president Faysal Soysal. Anyone who wishes can attend the event, which will start on Thursday, December 22 at 18.00:1948 at Atlas XNUMX Cinema.

Red Crescent will give a "Humanistic View Award" to a production

For the first time this year, the Turkish Red Crescent will give the "Humanitarian Look Award" to a production competing in the "Humanitarian Look" documentary selection. Awards will be presented to 3 productions in the main competition selection. The best film award was 30 thousand TL, the special jury award was 15 thousand TL, and the honorable mention was 10 thousand TL. The 'Human View' award worth 15 thousand TL will be presented to the film, which is included in the Humanitarian View Documentary selection. The Festival's Fono Film Post Production Award will be worth 30 thousand TL this year. On behalf of Neşet Ertaş, a friendship award will be presented to a film in the “40 years of memory” selection category. Within the scope of the festival, the Honorary Award will be given to Ayla Algan, one of the veterans of cinema, and to Yusuf Sezgin, the star actress of Turkish cinema, who has made countless films in her 60-year career and won our love with friendship.
