The Ministry of National Education will open free courses in four fields during the semester break. Stating that students showed great interest in English, mathematics, science and art courses, which were opened for the first time last summer, and that he wanted them to continue, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “We are with all our students with our free courses during the semester break. The courses that started on January 21 will continue until Sunday, February 5th. We will receive applications from our students at the beginning of January.” said.

The first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year will be completed on Friday, January 20. The second term will start on Monday, February 6, 2023.

The Ministry of National Education will open four different courses in mathematics, English, science and art between January 21 and February 5. Stating that the free course application, which was launched for the first time last summer, attracted great interest from students, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “For the first time, 1 million students benefited from the courses we opened during the summer vacation. Both our students and our teachers stated that they would like these courses to continue, which was very productive. As the Ministry, we stand by all our students with our free courses during the semester break. Our courses are designed to be accessible to every student in order to increase equal opportunity in education. We have a framework program that makes learning so much more fun in these courses. We have no place restrictions. Both our students and teachers will be able to attend the courses opened in their settlements. The courses, which started on January 21, will continue until Sunday, February 5th. We will receive applications from our students at the beginning of January.” he said.

Teacher applications for Mathematics and English courses will be accepted between January 7-11 and student applications will be received between January 12-17. In the BİLSEM courses calendar, teachers will apply between January 2-6 and students between January 9-13.

In the courses to be opened in Mathematics and English classes, activities will be held in five groups for 4th, 5th and 6th grades, 7th and 8th grades, 9th and 10th grades and 11th and 12th grades. A student can apply for both of these courses. Students will be included in programs of 2 hours per day, 10 hours per week, and 20 hours in total from one lesson. The student who attends two courses will have taken 40 hours of lessons per week.

In BİLSEM support and training courses, each workshop program in the fields of science and art will be planned for a total of 4 hours, with a maximum of 16 hours per day. A student will be able to attend BİLSEM support and training course from at most two different workshop/lesson groups; 16 hours per week, 32 hours in total, will be able to attend workshops. BİLSEM courses will be open to all students between grades 2 and 12.
