Composers from İzmir Commemorated with Their Songs

The Classical Turkish Music Choir of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Izmir Peninsula Turkish Music Choir gave a concert at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. Families of famous composers also attended the night, in which beautiful songs by composers from Izmir were performed.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Classical Turkish Music Choir and Peninsula Turkish Music choirs gave an unforgettable concert at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center under the direction of conductor İnanç Menekşe. The 160-member choir that took the stage at the “Comemoration Concert for Composers from Izmir” sang the songs of Izmir or famous composers who lived in the city, Rakım Elkutlu, Rüştü Şardağ, Avni Anıl, Necip Mirkelamoğlu, Necdet Tokatlıoğlu and Yusuf Nalkesen. The families of the poet, writer, literary writer Fuat Edip Baksı and valuable composers participated in the night.
