Chingiz Aitmatov Commemorated in Keçiören on His 94th Anniversary

A commemoration program was organized by the Keçiören Municipality in the Kyrgyz Writer Cengiz Aytmatov Park in Keçiören on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the birth of Kyrgyz Writer Cengiz Aytmatov.

Addressing the participants in the program, Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok said, “Today we remember and commemorate the 94th anniversary of Cengiz Aytmatov's birth. People are born, live and one day migrate from the mortal realm to the eternal realm. Among them, there are those who leave a trace, and there are those who leave a trace. Cengiz Aytmatov is a writer who left a mark on the world. It is a lamp that arises from the God Mountains and illuminates the whole world. He lived in difficult times, read and wrote in difficult times, and knew how to ease difficulties. He shed a light on world literature by overcoming the obstacles in front of him. He is someone who has not bowed to the oppressors and has not turned from his path.” said.

While undersecretaries of embassies of many countries and Kyrgyz citizens attended the program, Kyrgyzstan Ankara Embassy Undersecretary Aziz Kishtobayev thanked Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, who led the organization of the commemoration program.

At the end of the program, carnations were placed on the bust of Chingiz Aitmatov, accompanied by prayers.
