Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is launching an Abundance Movement campaign for families and students in need. With the campaign to be carried out with the slogan "Come, let's increase abundance by sharing", support will be given under many headings, from food to fuel, stationery to educational aid for university students. Citizens will also be able to support the campaign via bizizmir.com and cornuchareketi.izmir.bel.tr.
“Our people have become poor”
Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer Drawing attention to the deepening economic crisis, “Especially in recent years, we have had difficult days, weeks, even months as a country. Our people have become poor. Now we are starting a great movement in Izmir, which we multiply by sharing the abundance. We say, one of you and one of us. In other words, as Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, we will contribute to the campaign as much as the amount of support from you. In this way, we will double your support and reach our citizens in need.” Stating that families and university students in need will be extended a hand with the Blessing Movement, President Soyer said, “Our fellow citizens, who have been meticulously examined and determined to be in need, will benefit from our solidarity. Within the scope of basic needs, food packages, cleaning packages, fuel aid, stationery sets, boots and coats will be provided to our primary and secondary school students. For university students, we are starting solidarity for accommodation and financial support. With the contribution of our citizens, we will ensure that our university students get through these difficult days. In short, we have decided to go shoulder to shoulder again on these roads we know and have passed before. I hope that the blessings of this journey will spread throughout our country.”
Support and Get Support
The Bereket Movement campaign was planned in two modules as "Support" and "Get Support". In the "Get Support" section, there are "basic needs support" for families in need and "financial support", "warm home support" and "dormitory application" tabs for university students.
In the “Support” tab, there are options for meals, food parcels, cleaning packages, primary education needs support and support for students. Those who want to support university students can choose one or both of the options "I want to support financially" and "I want to give a place in my home".
