World Athletics has announced the quota schedule and guidelines for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in the summer of 2024.

19 months before the Olympic Games, which is the most important goal in athletics, the participation directive and calendar have been announced. The announced directive includes the conditions of participation, the schedule of the quota process, direct participation thresholds and other technical details.

While it was planned to compete in 2024 branches in athletics in Paris 48, 50 kilometers of walking was removed and a 35-kilometer mixed team competition in which one male and one female athlete would compete was added. Along with the 35 km mixed team, the 2020×4 mixed team relay race held in Tokyo 400 was also included in the program.

In all branches except the marathon, road races, multiple branches and 10,000 meters, the jump-off process will start on July 1, 2023 and end on June 30, 2024. The participation list will be completed with visas to be issued from the world rankings, as well as passing the direct threshold, as was practiced in the last Olympic and world championships.
