Vice President Fuat Oktay announced the ANKA-2023 Combat Unmanned Aircraft System developed by TAI at the 3 Budget Meeting:

“Our new type of unmanned jet fighter aircraft is coming from TUSAŞ, and this is our new good news. Our new generation project that will carry our capability in unmanned aerial vehicles to a further point: ANKA-3 MİUS. ANKA-3; With its jet engine and speed, high payload capacity and tailless structure that is almost invisible on the radar, it will open a new page in the field of UAVs. I hope we will continue to share the good news from our ANKA-3 MİUS project with our nation next year.”

Considering the details such as the high load carrying capacity and the low radar signature provided by the tailless structure, it can be evaluated that ANKA-3 MIUS will be an air-ground focused deep attack platform that will be located next to Bayraktar KIZILELMA. Another remarkable point is that the phrase MIUS is included in order to indicate the class of ANKA-3, in this respect, it can be considered as a continuation of Turkish classifications such as MIUS, SİHA and TİHA.

Former President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. It was stated by İsmail Demir that TUSAŞ was working on a jet powered SİHA and that the platform would emerge in 2023.

KIZILELMA's wheel cutting test was successfully carried out

KIZILELMA's wheel cut test

On December 3, 2022, the wheel cut test of the Bayraktar KIZILELMA Combatant Unmanned Aircraft System was successfully carried out. Announcing the development on his official Twitter account, Baykar Technology Leader Selçuk Bayraktar said: “We are holding on hard… Bayraktar KIZILELMA knocked his feet off the ground in the wheel cutting test. I hope it's just a little bit…” he used his expressions. With this test, KIZILELMA is one step closer to the first flight.

Bayraktar KIZILELMA will operate at a cruising speed close to the speed of sound. In the next process, it will be able to exceed the speed of sound. KIZILELMA will have an ammunition and payload capacity of close to 1.5 tons. It will be able to carry Air-Air, Air-Ground smart missiles and cruise missiles. The radar will be able to carry its ammunition inside the hull so that it has a low-visible design. In missions where radar invisibility is not at the forefront, they can also have their ammunition under the wing.
