Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Council approved the request to use a loan of 320 million Euros for the construction of Dikimevi-Natoyolu metro line, which will be integrated into the ANKARAY line serving between AŞTİ and Dikimevi.
The first session of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality December Ordinary Assembly Meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly, Fatih Ünal.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) approved the loan requested to be used in the construction of Dikimevi Natoyolu Metro project. A loan of 6.3 million Euros, corresponding to 320 billion liras, will be used only for the construction of the 8-kilometer metro.
ABB AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Murat Köse, in his speech at the assembly, the Mayor of Mamak reacted to the ABB administration and media organizations that created his perception against the metro to be built in Mamak. Saying that his words were distorted, Mayor Murat Köse said, “Some media organizations cut our words on the subject and wanted to create a perception as if the Mayor of Mamak was against the metro to be built in Mamak.
Defending that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş is fed by the crisis and victimization, Köse said: “Since 2019, we have approved every loan request that has come to the parliament. We express that we are always in favor of a solution and that we support the projects made for our people. Were it not so, we would not have taken decisions with 97 percent unanimity here. Do not try to gain political rants through speeches and polemics. The Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, unfortunately, expressed this here. Afterwards, the pool media made it foamy and used many false statements about us. We have never said 'no' to borrowings on any subject, we said 'yes' to all of them. We approve here as well.”
The loan to be used for the construction of the subway in Ankara Metropolitan Municipality was unanimously accepted.
